20 years ago....Mini woke up in the morning to sounds of someone crying bitterly near her window,saw her neighbour Mrs Ram wiping her tears with her saree seeing mini.After continous persuation she told mini that her husband Mr.Ram had beaten her yet again.Reason:Suspicion leading to punishment.Mr.Ram suspected his wife was having an affair with her cousin Mr.A who used to call her regularly,with increased frequency over the past few days.Mr.A was going through a crisis in his personal life and Mrs.Ram was mediating his patch up with his wife.Mr.Ram did not beleive her and always kept vigil on her like a hawk.The previous night Mrs.Ram had got a call from Mr.A around 9.30pm and the call extended for over an hour.An angered Mr.Ram hit her and left her alone in the balcony the whole night.Mini's heart went out to her,a nice lady who always understood everyone's problems and who was an epitome of compassion and care was there crying like a baby left on the streets by its parents...
Over the years,all this changed.Mr Ram seemed to have finally found a cure for his behaviour.And Mrs Ram finally was getting the happiness she rightly deserved!And now...Mini saw Mr.Ram going out with Mrs Ram for their morning walk.She saw Mrs.Ram waving at the kids going to school,but Mr Ram wasnt waving.He is pushing the wheel chair with Mrs Ram in it..
Mrs Ram had lost both her legs in a fatal accident that ill fated morning twenty years ago!
