You saw Rani Mukherji play the role of a blind girl in 'Black',but she could atleast see and understand what it is to be without eyesight.
Imagine a deaf and dumb person in reality playing the role of a lead actor in a movie.
Dont beleive this?Dhruv is a deaf and dumb person playing the lead role in the Kannada movie 'Snehanjali'.
The whole thing of how they went about shooting the movie,how he was able to grasp every fight sequence or dance steps or mime during dialogue delivery and songs is simply amazing.It seems everything was conveyed through hand signals and he picked it up effortlessly.Isnt't interesting?
People who watch Kannada movies,please go and watch the movie when it is released.Actors like Dhruv or rather people like Dhruv who are born with a disablity but go against all odds to take on the world need our support and encouragement!

My only concern in all these movies is how they would be portraying the protagonist. A case in point is the Tamil movie "Dancer". The lead is a guy with just one leg! And yet he dances, fights, balances himself, etc on that one leg - with no support or artificial leg. Hats off to that guy! But the movie was quite sad: showing the typical downtrodden, getting stamped around everywhere, and then rising. The effort of the guy is incredible...but maybe, the movie would have had more appeal if they had portrayed it differently.
An example of that would be Perazhagan (Malayalam original was Kunjikoonan), where Surya played a hunchback...and the entire movie he takes digs at himself, and points out his "flaws" as advantages. That was quite impressive.
This movie seems to be different...doesnt showcase the guy with his disability.He is potrayed like any normal actor,thats what I found it interesting and nice.
Rest,need to see the movie and decide.
