What is this 'Sarpa Dosha Samskara' or 'Snake problem remedy'?
It is the ritual associated with the cremation of the snake.People who are diagonised to have the
'Sarpa Dosha'(SD) in their horoscopes are advised by the astrologers(not sure if they get some incentives for directing people to Kukke) to perform this pooja to pacify the impending issues in their lives caused because of the SD.The devotees have to stay in the temple premises for two days and perform a rigorous pooja.
It involves making two snake like structures in flour and three Snake egg structures.One of the snake like structure is cremated while the other along with the eggs is put into an are called the 'Nagana Katte' or the 'Snake's platform' as fuel for the flourishment of the Snake species.As the Snake species flourishes,the devotees who performed the pooja also flourish in life is the belief.
The annual income of this temple is 16crores.A person who contributes 25Rs becomes entitled to receive the prasadam to his doorstep.And the profit made through the 25Rs plan is Rs 1 crore every year!!!

My visit to the temple was a casual visit and with no religious aim in mind.The temple is beautiful,and the location picture perfect.The popular and not to be missed treks-Edakumeri and KumaraParvatha are the other important things not be missed around the small town which has shot into limelight overnight!
